Personal project
I've wanted to build a zoetrope for a while now since being introduced to them years ago.
It felt like the perfect project to combine animation, sculpture and design, so happy to build something mechanical tells a story and you can operate with your hands.
All you need to do is set up a strobe light and spin it, and you'll get to see the character running along.
Made using your standard animation and 3D tools, my 3D printer, and some paint at home.
It’s currently screening at festivals this year while I work on the next big short.
